The idea of building Sri Vijaya Ganapathi Devasthanam was conceived in 2009. The Devasthanam committee requested few farmers of Muchivolu village to donate their land for the temple construction and for other amenities. The farmers donated their land for the cause. The Devasthanam committee got 5 acres of land with the kind help from farmers and other villagers.
